Well it's been awhile since I last wrote a blog post. Quite a bit I would say happened in the past month. I turned 20, officially knocking me out of the teenager stage in life. As a friend of mine kindly pointed out to me (not that I needed it) I can't do anything more than I could last year. I did have a good birthday though spent with friends who I consider family.

Of course my day wouldn't have been made without this little girl to help :) |

Ok, so it took me 4 times to blow the candles out.
As Ben puts it, "I thought you'd have more hot air in you than that" |

The wonderful people I call family up here in Alto.
(With Amy and quite a few people missing) |
Amy is coming up on her 9 month mark here in about a week. It makes me cry just thinking about how long it's been since she was born. Almost nine months ago I was sitting in the hospital with my beautiful new little girl. Everyone keeps telling me they grow up so fast, I see what they mean now. In three months my little girl is going to be 1.
Amy has gone past the just pulling herself up stage to the I'm going to be a big girl and walk along the furniture! It's not going to be long before she starts walking I predict considering she's pulling herself up using objects that have no place for her to hold on to, like our sliding glass door.
The little stinker has also mastered climbing up the stairs already. It seems as if that's her favorite thing to play with grandpa, I climb up and grandpa helps me down. It's so cute to watch those two interact with each other. You can tell he loves her to pieces and that she has him wrapped around her little finger.

Grandpa has her watching football already :) |
The anniversary of my mom's death was the 16th and it's hard to believe it's already been 8 years. Sometimes it's like it was yesterday and other times it seems like it has been 20 years ago. But, I now have a joyous occasion mixed in with that day as the 17th I got the chance to sit (as a cousin of mine used semantics on) and share my story of how God has worked in my life. Worked he has, it's been an interesting learning period in these last 10 months and I'm sure will be an even more learning experience as the days, weeks, months and years go by. The 18th I was able to bury my past and arise and embrace even more fully my new life as a daughter and bride in Christ.

November is a month for thanksgiving, although everyday should be filled with thanksgiving. Amy had her first thanksgiving this year and liked pretty much everything I fed her even that pumpkin pie. Not a big surprise considering she eats anything you feed her. We enjoyed spending thanksgiving with Terry's family down in Bluffton and it was a wonderful time.
